Pink Jeep Tour — Red Rock Canyon
Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip? Only 30 minutes away, you will be immersed into the breath-taking scenery of Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon encompasses about 197,000 acres along the west side of the Las Vegas Valley. The 13-mile scenic loop will feature a wide range of ecosystems, wildlife, and breathtaking views. On your journey, you’ll start with a brief stop at the Visitor Center to encounter the desert tortoise habitat and captivating exhibits before entering the scenic drive in the Pink Adventure Trekker. During the drive, you will learn about the Keystone Thrust, Wilson Cliffs and ancient pictographs. You’ll also encounter the Calico Hills where these rock formations display animal fossils within their layers. End your tour at the Red Rock Overlook to capture a view of the entire canyon and snap a photo for a souvenir.

  • Why it’s important to have your attorney review your will, shareholder agreement, buy / sell agreement and to ensure all documents are aligned
  • Why selection of your executor may be the biggest estate planning decision you will make

  • Why appointing a power of attorney is especially important if you own a business
  • Why making major estate planning decisions prior to meeting with an attorney is an efficient way to reduce legal fees

Dynamic balancing rotors is a routine part of many repairs. The setup and operation of the machine is a valuable skill for service center personnel. This session will cover:

  • The basic principle of rigid rotor single-plane and two-plane balancing
  • Rotor setup principals for hard-bearing and soft-bearing machines
  • An overview of balancing machine instruments, including dedicated instruments and the use of portable balancer instruments.
  • How and when to use static-couple techniques vs. two-plane techniques
  • Special setups for odd-shaped rotors

This session shares institutional knowledge about DC machines, including how they work explained in terms of magnets (attraction / repulsion). Topics will include:  

  • What do the interpoles do? – shims, interpole strength in ampere-turns
  • Recognizing types of armatures
  • Circuits, poles and identifying problems – design differences among manufacturers
  • Routine final tests that are almost as reliable as a dynamometer – brush neutral, interpole polarity test, interpole circuit test
  • Field types: shunt, series, compound, cumulative vs. differential. When is each used?
  • What is commutation?
  • Final testing

The Sphere Experience is a two-part program that begins when you enter the venue. The Sphere Experience then continues in the main venue bowl for a multi-sensory cinematic experience – Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth.

NOTE: Postcard from Earth is an immersive experience with various elements, including seat haptics, movement sensations, flashing lights, intense lighting, visual effects, loud noises, and atmospheric simulations that may include fog, scent, and wind. Such elements may aggravate certain medical or physical conditions, and guests should take into consideration.

AC high voltage is increasingly common for over voltage withstand, tan delta, and partial discharge tests of motors and generators, including newly wound, repaired or rewound coils and field diagnostic tests.  VLF has been used extensively worldwide for cable testing for over 25 years. Now rotating machinery and ancillary apparatus can benefit from it, too.

  • If it is a ball bearing, is the enclosure open, shielded or sealed?
